After starting her physiotherapy career in the Musculoskeletal/Sports field, Emma’s own Endometriosis diagnosis prompted her to shift in to the world of Pelvic Health - and she hasn’t looked back since! Emma knows first-hand how difficult it can be to struggle with symptoms related to things that aren’t often talked about, and likes to be a safe space for patients to open this channel of discussion so we can work towards alleviating your symptoms.
Emma is currently studying her Masters of Science in Medicine (Sexual and Reproductive Health) - Psychosexual Therapy through the University of Sydney. She is hoping that this, coupled with her physiotherapy skills, will further enhance her therapeutic toolbox in the treatment of pelvic pain and sexual functioning concerns.
Emma has also been a Clinical Pilates Instructor for over 7 years, and loves utilising movement to facilitate a positive change in her patient’s life. She thoroughly enjoys guiding patients safely and confidently back to exercise after giving birth or having pelvic/abdominal surgery.
Emma finds great satisfaction in working together with patients to understand their unique set of problems, and tailor personalised treatment plans accordingly. Emma looks forward to meeting you in clinic to begin your pelvic health journey!
